Eyes are Windows of the Soul

  I used to wear eye glasses when I was in school, but decided to discontinue wearing them when I had my first job. Mine was just a case of astigmatism which means I can still see and read things almost at the normal level. But now that I am a Work-at-home mom and I have been working online for more than a year now, I guess I need to have my new prescription eyeglasses.



That means I need to adjust my work schedule in order to visit optical shops like Zenni Optical. They offer stylish yet affordable eyeglasses like holiday themed frame, memory titanium and aluminum alloy. The eyeglasses also come in different colors such as burgundy, black, brown, blue, cedar and a lot more. Of course there are various shapes of frames that would perfectly complement the shape of the face. The eyeglasses frames are rectangle, oval, aviator and round, these frames are either full rim or half rim. There are even those which are like goggles, rimless and also sunshade.

I guess I need to look for the best optical shop for my eyeglasses, I will also get one for hubby who is also starting to work online. My middle child definitely needs one too.

Freelancer Payment Proof

I totally forgot about the request for withdraw from my earnings at Freelancer.com; today I received the payment at my Paypal account. I am quite happy with my online work; no time pressure involved. But it can be addicting most especially if you see fruits of your hard work.

My First Adgitize Payment

I was so surprised when I saw the email of Adgitize; I thought it has something to do with my advertisement with them. But when I opened the email, it was my first payment from being an Adgitize advertiser. I invested $14 for 30 days advertising; I earned $19 for the month plus the $4 from my November earnings.

It was like hitting two birds with one stone, I earn money and at the same time gained more visitors for my blog too. So if you have not advertise yet with Adgitize, maybe it is time start your ads with them and see the effects.

Good thing Adgitize has the option of paying through Paypal instead of sending out company checks like what others do. It would be a big hassle for me because I do not have any valid IDs at all. I am too lazy to get new ones because I lost my previous IDs.

My Online Job Earnings

I was doing my daily blog hopping and I came across several blog posts about the earnings they had from their blogs and their online jobs. As a SAHM, it was quite important for me to help my husband get additional income for the family. I was very fortunate to have met good people who trusted my knowledge and skills and helped me have my own online job earnings.

I started writing for a common friend and we had a good start but then later on things have changed. Anywayz, I think it was a blessing in disguise because I was introduced to Fedhz (of the famous Fedhz Polvoron and Home Buddies). She later on introduced me to other Marces (I bet most mommy bloggers in the Philippines would know them)  like Jade of the Pinayblogger ; and they were kind enough to hire me for several writing projects.

I made a list of the earnings I made for 2010. I started writing last March 2010 and luckily up to present. I never thought I made this much; I wonder where did I spend all these earnings. Lol. We are talking US dollars here..whoa!

So roughly I made around a whooping $2000; oh my! where is that money now? My earnings is definitely not bad for a beginner like me. I am looking forward to a fruitful year and hopefully get an increase in my full time job soon.

Making Money Online

I have been working full time as a content writer, and a part-time virtual assistant. I have never kept track on my earnings, and as I was checking the history payments received in my Paypal account, I was surprised that I have actually earned this much. My salary is paid on a weekly basis and I am quite satisfied with how things are doing.

Aside from my full-time job; I could still get additional work from my boss Fedhz for additional income. According to her, I suit very well the title of VA not as Virtual Assistant but as Very Addict.

Manic Monday

Ever since I started doing online work; I consider this day as probably the second most draining day (the first one happened last Wednesday..deadlines! argh!). I woke up a bit late because I slept late last night because I had to finish blog hopping and commenting. Although I am used to having a hectic schedule, this day is quite different. I feel like a drained battery (but here I am still doing my blog post). Being a VA no longer stand for Virtual Assistant- but Very Addict; I have tons of work from my other boss but I can't resist accepting other job assignments too. I could not easily say No to my boss (right Fedhz?); she tells me to give my other tasks to other people but I can't simply do that. I need to work. I want to work and I love to work. My braincells were not in use for a long time; and I can say that this time around, I have found what I love to do. I love to write and I will continue to write.

Not Good at Time Management

It's been a month since I got this full time writing job and I am really very thankful for it. (Hmmm..who can resist a very nice offer?) I've been writing full time and also getting additional writing assignments from other bloggers; and did I mention that I am also a part-time Virtual Assistant? All of these jobs are courtesy of my boss, Fedhz..hihihi..Oh I forgot, I am also into writing ebook.
Did somebody mention that we only have 24 hours in one day? Geez! how can I squeeze in all these tasks in one day and at the same time be a Mom to my kids and a loving wife to my hubby? The answer is, I DON'T KNOW! With all these writing jobs plus the errands in running our entire household, my hands are definitely full everyday and even during the weekends. Sad to say but it means lesser time to enjoy watching movies with my family.
It is hard to manage time, and to be honest I am never good with time management. I am not sure with other writers, but for me, once the ideas are flowing inside my mind I need to write it or else; it would vanish into thin air. Things are made a lot easier because I have my kids (Jet, Gab and Jeon ) to help me in doing the household chores. My hubby who is not busy with work this time is also a big help. That is why whenever I get my payout, I have to make sure that we treat ourselves with a lot of yummy food.
I am working hard for the money to have something to spend for my kids. I would not want to burden my hubby with all the responsibilities in terms of our finances. As of now, I am enjoying my job and although I have little complaints because I can no longer have my siesta time, I am still very thankful for the additional income that we are receiving. I will do everything and anything for my kids, with or without my hubby to depend on (but thank God, he is there for me too!)

Frantic Turned Proud

I admit I am guilty; I have been spending too much time writing articles; I forgot to double check Jeon's assignments. I became complacent because my hubby was here and he was the one helping Jeon out with his school works. Morning of October 5th, I read Lani's (Jeon's classmate Leanne's mom) comment on my Facebook status. She was asking me if I will go with my son at SM Clark for the school program. I became frantic after reading it. I didn't know that he is part of the school program. I asked my hubby if he read about it in our son's reminder notebooks. He said he didn't. Immediately I sent SMS to my cousin who is a teacher in that school. She confirmed that there is a school program scheduled that day. Even though I was not really feeling well that time, I prepared to attend the event. Just in time when my son came back from school. He said that he is part of the program but does not know what to wear. OMG! What am I supposed to do? My hubby decided that he wears smart casual outfit and to bring the PE uniform. It was the right decision, because they don't have costume, they just need to wear the best outfit.

To make the long story short, we made it through the event. My hubby and are were really proud to see our youngest son dance on the stage. All smiles and doing his best in this Teacher's Day event. Our frowns and worries before the event started were changed into big smiles.

Looking For Potential Writers

I feel blessed to be able to get a home based job. Thanks to my boss Fedhz for trusting me with a project. There are so many tasks to finish and a lot of deadlines to meet. At first, it was difficult to manage time; but since I have the gift to write (according to boss Fedhz.. hehe) I am able to meet the quota of four articles per day along side with an e-book project.

A lot of projects are coming in, and at present my hands are full. So Fedhz and I are in search for potential writers to become part of our team. It pays good and on a per project basis. It's difficult to look for writers, because writing will eat up a lot of your free time. But come to think of it, I think researching through Google is much better and productive rather than staying online in Facebook and updating your status every now and then.

On my part, I can still enjoy Facebook while researching. I would like to believe that I am an expert in multi-tasking. Homebased Job

Monday morning, 13th of September my boss Fedhz gave me the good news. She found a full-time home-based writing job for me. When she offered it to me, I agreed without hesitation. I need to help my hubby with our finances. I just couldn't pass on this opportunity.
Since then, my schedule became so hectic. I make sure that all household chores are done before 830 in the morning. Boss is expecting me to be online at that time until 530 in the afternoon. In between my writing job and research, I try to balance by being a mom to my kids. As much as possible I make sure that by the time they are home for lunch, food is prepared.
It's just a matter of time management, and in due time I will get used to it.
